New Leadership

It has been officially announced at the AGM 2018 that Captain Jolly Roger will be taking a back seat role in running the Pirates. We should give a huge thank you to Roger and all that he has done to carry on the Pirates. This has, by far, been the most successful year for the Pirates and Roger didn’t take his role lightly. He put in a lot of effort to ensure that everyone felt integrated – and I think the feedback that he received reflects the highly regarded opinion that everybody had for his position. Roger made the Pirates his own and put his own slant on it, and he has been a credit to the role of captain. Although Roger will not be gone from the Pirates and will still assist with it, I am sure you will all join me in saying thank you to Captain Jolly Roger O’Neill – you have done a fantastic job. Roger will continue to run the Pirates until the beginning of the 2019 season.

And now begins a new reign of terror. Please welcome to the helm our new captain, Mr Ian ‘Whitebeard’ Hopkin (pictured above, 6th from right). Ian is a keen Pirateer and is very keen to take the role and continue the success that the Pirates have had for the 2018 season. I am sure you will all join me in wishing Ian every success in his new position as the Pirates Captain.
