Pottergate Juniors

Welcome to the Pottergate Juniors page. Here is where you can find a bit more about us and what we do.

We have a thriving junior section at the club and we actively encourage competition participation when the players have gained a handicap and are confident on the course. We are also happy if some youngsters would prefer to play social golf or just learn the game to see if it is for them. We hold regular coaching sessions on Saturday mornings, covering many aspects of the game of golf.

We enter the County junior leagues, and this year we will be playing against Elsham, Ashby Decoy and Thonnock. This gives the golfers practical experience of a match play situation and helps form a team spirit amongst our representatives, in the past our juniors have gone on to become club champions and represent the club at prestigious events. The etiquette and knowledge also tends to help with the development of the juniors in many aspects of their life.

Our junior membership includes a package of coaching sessions and is aimed at giving the young golfers the required knowledge and skills to be able to perform on the course, as well introducing them to the main golf rules. Our group coaching sessions are a great place to start and intimate enough to gain some real one-on-one tuition. Parents are welcome to watch or take a coffee break in the clubhouse.

Junior Organiser for the club is Kev Galjaard please do not hesitate to contact him with any enquiries or issues.email : k.galjaard@ntlworld.com
